The Sukkot Family Outing is generally held on the Sunday during Sukkot. It is held at a local Ecology/Nature Center. We begin with a picnic (BYO) lunch. Following lunch, the Rabbi leads a study session on a theme related to Sukkot and the Environment for the adults and teenagers. At the same time, various programs are offered by the Ecology Center staff for the children. These programs are followed by a range of offerings, from arts and crafts to hiking programs for all. Late in the afternoon, we re-group for a snack, a brief service (Havdalah when the program takes place on Shabbat) and some singing which brings the day to a close. We have had participants from age 2 to 82.
