PROJECT TIKVAH         (Summary: 281)
SCHWARTZ,J /LEVINE,D

Project Tikvah was established to provide Hebrew language instruction for students with learning disabilities.

This project provided learners with very small group settings in which instruction can be focused on an individual's distinct learning style. In addition to fostering feelings of success and self-esteem, Project Tikvah was designed to encourage the development of each youngster's Jewish self-awareness, a status often suppressed due to prescribed medical and educational therapies and/or regiments.

For more information on special needs visit the Disabilities section of URJ's Caring Community web page.
